Douglas C-47 Skytrain Plastic Model Airplane Kit # 871 copyright 1979 The Douglas C-47 was the military version of the fabled DC-3. The men who flew C-47s were always quick to praise the crafts ability to fly in an overloaded condition from even the roughest airfields. Primarily a troop and cargo transport the Skytrain was also utilized as a glider towplane. After the War the plane became a symbol of hope and good will by flying missions of mercy dropping much-needed food and medical supplies to civilians throughout Europe. This kit features: Detailed cockpit with two pilot figures; Detailed rear cargo floor with paratroop seating; Optional position cargo doors; Rotating propellers. All if not most parts are still connected to tree. Kit contains original instructions manual and decals for two different versions. Made in Italy by Italerei.
