S.M. 79 Mk. II Plastic ModelAirplane Kit 1101-100.The S.M. 79 was the mainstay of the Italian bomber squadrons in WWII and is considered to have been the best land-based torpedo bomber of the war. Used primarily in the Mediterranean area the aircraft was powered by three radial engines providing a maximum speed of 270 mph and could carry two torpedoes or 2750 lbs of bombs. This kit features: Movable ailerons rudder and elevator surfaces; Pivoting and elevating machine guns; Clear cockpit cover; Optional propeller or clear disc cowling; Torpedoes; Clear modular display stand. All if not most parts are still connected to tree. Kit includes original instructions manual and decals. Made in USA by the MPC Mt Clemens MI.
